Lay It Out in Lavender

Last Sunday we attended Baby Lily's Christening. It was fun. It's like a reunion with my college friends. I would love to show you pictures of Lily's christening but the handsome photographer, Bryan Yap haven't uploaded the pictures yet.

So these pictures were taken before and after the event.

The dress I wore is thrifted. It's my first time to wear a lavander dress.

After the christening, I tried on this wrap wedged sandals I bought at ebay.

blog award

Good Day Everyone!
How was your weekend? Mine was fine.just fine. I watched movies and stayed at home the whole long weekend. :)

I would like to thank Ate Che of Adventure of a Pinay Neska for passing me this award. It feels good. It's like receiving an Oscar award...lol. Glad to know that somebody found my blog, lovely. *winks*

And now I'm passing this award to Mike of ToxicDiscoBoy. He is one of those who inspired and influenced me with so many things like thrifting and dressing up. He is very talented and has an amazing sense of fashion. I'm sure you'll enjoy reading his blog.

and to Mara of Kiss my Fashion. Just discovered her blog. Isn't it amazing that this young girl is only 15 yrs old and dresses up fashionably already? galing noh?! visit her blog too.

And this dress I wore is another thrift find. I love the print and the glitters/small studs at the front . It is very simple and comfy to wear.

poker game

modeling the poker chip case

thrifted black dress and silver sandals

I spent my weekend with my friends by playing poker game. Yeah, we played poker whole night and slept for 4 hours and then played poker again the whole day. We're addicted to it already. But of course, it doesn't involve money. My friend Roy, the poker boy, introduced this game to us. I only knew the the Poker Face song of Lady Gaga and not the poker game. We really had fun and I was always the loser.hekhek

Manny Pacquaio + Liliw = great Sunday

Yahoo! another win for the Filipinos!
I prayed hard for Manny's victory and I was trembling and nervous while watching Manny's fight. That was a good fight indeed. I like Cotto's attitude towards the game. He's a symbol of sportsmanship. I felt sad for him. I realized he's a father too and his children surely felt bad seeing their father losing the fight. :(

I got pissed off reading some status messages in facebook. Why can't some Filpinos just be happy for Manny Pacquiao's victory? oh well, hello CRAB MENTALITY or is it just INSECURITY or both? ugh! Let's just be happy for other's success guys. grow up!

Anyway, after watching the boxing, we went somewhere to freshen up and eat isaw. Then we realized we were already heading to Liliw. It's our first time here. Liliw is best known for native homemade sweets and sizeable shoe industry just like Marikina. I've been wanting to shop here for shoes. It was really amazing! The street is full of footwear stores. Shop 'til you drop. But we had limited time. We need to go home for work. 'I'll bring my friends here next time! :)

my bilbil. baw. :(

Liliw has a very beautiful and historical church.

This is the street where you can see side-by-side shoe stores. Shoes are very affordable and durable.

My purchase. I find it so simple and sexy. hihi

Hello Silver!

I got these shiny coat and vintage bag from a thrift store in Batangas. The silver coat costs 20 pesos only (less than 1$) . I immediately grabbed this piece because i fell in love with the color. I'm into shiny clothes lately and I don't know why. I wore this as a dress because i don't feel comfortable wearing it as a coat in a very humid weather. hihi

I am also excited for this Sunday's big event. Yes, the Pacquiao-Cotto fight. I'm a fan of Pacquaio. He's a great boxer. Just please don't join politics Manny, or else I'll punch you.haha

Have a great weekend everyone! :D

da fort

Last Saturday bf and I were craving for bulalo, so we had our dinner at Calamba. Right after dinner, we decided to visit his younger brother at Taguig. That was unplanned again. I didn't brought extra shirt, thinking that we'll just eat dinner and will go home after. I was so surprised that Jeyson, his brother, already owned a dslr. I envy him. We ate again and had photoshoot at The Fort in Taguig. I love this place, it's better than Makati of course. We were his first subject. I must have brought some decent clothes for this shoot.haha. If I only knew. :(
Well anyway, we had so much fun and we'll go back next next weekend for the Pyrolympics! yey! am excited again!

great escape

Are you fond of traveling and wants to run away from your nerve-racking life? Then go to Tagaytay, and yea, Caleruega too.
Tagaytay is one of the best places for relaxation. Been there many times and I don't get bored and tired of staying there. We went there today and it was unplanned. We actually intended to have a driving lesson (not the official one) for today, but ended up going to Tagaytay. hihi. Taal Lake never fails to give me a smile and thank God for this wonderful creation. :D

I had a great weekend with boyfriend and friends. They spent their long weekend at my very small apartment. We watched horror movies and had swimming at the nearest pool resort. I'm glad my parents called after like 2 weeks of no communication. Oh I miss home! 7 weeks na lang, and Mindanao here I come! :D

Hope you had a wonderful weekend too. mwah!

on the brighter side

I had a great weekend. I enjoyed much of it because ...

1.) I watched 3 movies in a row.
  • Surrogates by Bruce Willis - It's a sci fi movie. Willis has an appealing character that arouses viewers' emotion. The action is strong and technology used was carried through well.
  • P.S. I love you by Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler - funny and romantic. It's worth a watch though there are many cheesy moments.haha. This movie makes me want to go to Ireland. and im beginning to like Swank.she's funny and of course a really good actress.
  • And I love you so by Bea and Sam(local film). - hay. I expected too much on this movie. I think Sam should earn an award for this but Bea for me is still boring. (Hindi man lng ako natawa or naiyak. wa epek)
2.) Thrifted this dress yesterday for only 100 pesos (2$). It's my first time to wear floral dress and I agree with Ms. Denise, dress is really comfy. I think I'll start collecting dresses. :)

3.) Today we went to National Arts Center (School for the Arts). I've been there before and I fell in love with the place. It's overlooking Laguna and the place is really quiet, a good venue for recollection and the likes.
According to Wikipedia ,The Center was established in 1976 by Imelda Marcos as a haven for young and aspiring artists and also houses the Philippine High School for the Arts, a government-run secondary educational institution for gifted young artists.

And yey! my very busy days are over... for now:=)

the shoes and bag are also thrifted

I hope you had a wonderful weekend too.

every wall is a door

This weekend is a boring one. Nothing special happened except for my jogging exercise this morning. And Oh I lost weight nga pala(konti lng naman). Every Sunday, I go to Mercury Drug Store to check my BMI and blood pressure. And I'm happy my diet works. Go check yours too! It's like an atm machine. Just drop a 5 peso coin and then you'll get the result. =)

While I was arranging things in my closet, I saw this dress and I totally forgot about this already. I grabbed my boyfriend and decided to have a photo shoot with this dress. We were looking for a beautiful background near my house but we can't find any. Then we found this dirty wall near the private pool resort. haha. I hope it's not that disturbing.
